The Chisholm Fork Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) is an enthusiastic and exciting group of members who believe in God, Home and Country.
The Chisholm Fork Chapter, NSDAR, was organized in 2013 by a group of women who lived in the Tri-City Area (Blanchard, Newcastle, Tuttle) of Oklahoma. Many of these women were looking for a chapter closer to home. In Blanchard, Oklahoma, they found that they could share their love for DAR with neighbors and friends in that area. The other benefit of having a chapter in Blanchard was to give support to the chartered city's local veterans, community, and schools. |
Since its inception, the Chisholm Fork Chapter, NSDAR, has participated in the Blanchard May Daze; Blanchard 4th of July Celebration; Blanchard and Newcastle Libraries Book Sales; Blanchard Veterans Day Parade; working with other civic organizations in placing U.S. Flags at the local cemetery for Memorial Day and Veterans Day; veterans activities at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center; adopting 20 individuals that reside in the Homeless Alliance residence hall; and historic preservation at various cemeteries in Oklahoma.
The Chisholm Fork Chapter, NSDAR, has awarded state DAR Good Citizens awards, state American History awards, and state DAR Scholarship awards to young people that attended Blanchard, Bridge Creek, and Newcastle High Schools. We also distribute Constitution Week kits to the 5th grade classes at Blanchard, Bridge Creek, and Newcastle schools. |
